Hey!

The AP Bio exam is today at 12PM, which is good because I got to sleep in, and not so good because…I have to take the test. But once this AP is done, a great weight will be lifted off our shoulders— LAST AP EVER.

I guess I haven’t been sharing my moves with you much this week, so here’s what I’ve been doing:

Monday: 5 min row + TRX arm workout (something like this or this) + random ab exercises + plank

Tuesday: rest + Blogilates

Wednesday: rest + some burpees and walking in there

Thursday: ~60 air squats, pushups, and sit-ups (I had been chipping away at the 100 challenge while studying) + modern dance class

Friday: We shall see!

Alrighty then! While I’m scavenging my noggin for my knowledge on cells, DNA, and evolution, you can all read some of this week’s Fascinating Friday Links. Enjoy!

Hey there!

Hmm, maybe these last 5 weeks of school won’t be too bad if the weeks keep passing this quickly! There are still a lot of papers to write and tests to take though, so I can’t check out now (Ha— who am I kidding? 😉 ). In all seriousness though, I’m starting to feel the onset of separation anxiety when I have to leave my friends. Maybe I shouldn’t talk about the end of the year yet.

I’m also thinking shorts/capri weather is finally becoming a permanent thing around here! I need to paint my naked toe nails if I want to wear sandals though. I am not blessed with pretty toes.

And for today’s moves, I basically did a similar arm workout and to last Sunday’s plus a few minutes on the rope climbing machine and Julie’s 8 minute ab tabata.

Anyway, hope you all enjoy this week’s Fascinating Friday Links! I apologize for these being so late again— AP studying has got me up into the wee hours of the night! If the weather’s warm where you are, grab some iced tea or lemonade, go out into the backyard, kick your feet up, and enjoy these reads!

Eep! I’m super duper late again! Punctuality is one of my weaknesses.

I did not foresee the busyness that consumed this week, but it went by in a flash, which is always a good thing (6 more weeks for the high school seniors…almost there…). I actually just came back from my school’s annual Coffee House performance, where my friend Daliza and I performed Strings by the Young the Giant. We were the emcees for the night too, which was fun! And the talent was really legit last night, let me tell ya.

DSC_8016

For breakfast yesterday morning, I had a smoothie that looked like it would be a winner when I was throwing the ingredients into the blender, but when I tasted it, it was just meh. I should just stick to Amanda’s cookie dough smoothie forever.

Into the blender went 4 strawberries, 1 small banana, ½ c. milk, ¼ c. oats, 1 huge tbsp. peanut butter, ½ scoop of vanilla protein powder, ½ tsp. chia seeds, cinnamon, nutmeg, a lot o’ spinach, and a little bit of ice.

DSC_8013

With a side of Greek yogurt for spoon dippin’

It was actually tasty, but it just wasn’t as thick or peanut buttery as I prefer. Maybe I’ll do less milk next time.

I made up for breakfast’s lack of peanut buttery satisfaction with this classic after school snack:

Moves Thursday: I did end up going outside for a bit because it was just too gorgeous to not do so! In my backyard:

  • 50 jumping jacks
  • super duper quick jog around the cul de sac (<— I had to look up how to spell that. I didn’t know it’s three words!)
  • 10 pushups
  • 10 [unassisted!] pistol squats each leg + 20 split squats each leg + pistols + 20 side lunges each leg + pistols + 20 single leg bridge pulses each leg

And then I had modern dance class later in the evening!

Moves yesterday: Just some random moving and grooving throughout the day. Little jog in gym, a few jumping pull-ups on our door bar thing, some pushups, dancing to Beyonce, and one round of this.

Alright, now I’ll leave you with this week’s Fascinating Friday (ahem, now Saturday) Links! Enjoy 🙂

Hello!

So you know how I said I wanted that piglet from my dream a couple nights ago? Well, I’ve found a way to vicariously have a pet piggy— Hamlet The Piggy on Instagram. I mean….

Victoria and I are now watching every cute animal video on Youtube, “aww”-ing at every puppy and wishing we had one as we lisp through our retainers. (That was an oddly vivid description.)

We also went out to eat sushi last night. It was delicious, but we definitely did not stuff ourselves like we did two nights ago. Goin’ light, ya know? 😉

Moves yesterday included lots of air squats, pushups, and sit-ups throughout the day (basically the 100 challenge) + some fun burpees thrown in there. It wasn’t a formal workout, but I enjoyed taking study breaks to get the blood flowin’ and the muscles working!

Since I missed sharing Fascinating Friday Links with you all last week, I’m especially looking forward to this week’s list! Enjoy!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and a blessed Good Friday and Easter if you celebrate! I promise to not accidentally eat meat or nut butter today. I actually unintentionally went meatless yesterday now that I think about it…maybe that makes up for last Friday?? 😉 Breakfast this morning was a nut-butter-less yogurt bowl with a sliced banana, chia, hemp, cereal, cinnamon, nutmeg and honey. I also made Victoria Gina’s famous cookie dough cereal this morning and she loves it!

After Good Friday service today, we’re all heading up to Boston for the final college visit EVER (Boston University for me, Northeastern University for Victoria). We’ll be spending Easter up there, so we’ll get to see Ben too!

Good morning!

Alright so the warmth was only playing hide-and-seek, because it has returned with a high of 45*F today. Yesterday’s high temperature was 20*F, and the wind was out of control. Not hurricane status, obviously, but it was strong enough to throw me off balance when I was getting the mail.

I think Thursdays are currently one of my most relaxing days of the week (I’m tellin’ ya— it’s the new Friday!). Of course there’s still school, homework, and dance, but for some reason, I feel like I have a lot of down time in between all the activities. I’ll take it 🙂 Tonight I’ll be babysitting my cute Valentine’s date, so my plans will involve diaper-changing, burping (the baby), and maybe a little yoga again. Just being domestic, right? I should just become a housewife right now and call it a life. That requires a husband though, so I guess I’ll stick to college first. 😉

And here are this week’s Fascinating Friday Links! Enjoy!
