There are some incredible things as of late that are noteworthy:
It’s incredible that Thanksgiving is this week. That means finals are coming, which means the semester is almost over, which means I’m almost halfway done with sophomore year of college, which means my senior friends are almost done with college, which means I need to shut the freak up before I go insane.

It’s incredible how kind people can be, despite the fact that you’ve only met in person once (or not at all). My blogger friends near and far have been nothing but kind and loving to me and to other fellow bloggers, often for no particular reason. Sweet prayers and messages from Julia and Hayley. Kind words by Emily. Heavy care packages from a certain no-bake king. All of YOU who choose to read about what goes on in my brain. God bless you.

The power of a 10 minute nap is incredible. I was in desperate need of a nap the morning/afternoon before my exam on Thursday. I could have studied straight through until 3:30 pm, but my friends forced me to take a nap. SO BENEFICIAL. My brain could actually function. Who ‘da thunk?
It’s incredible how talented humans are. Besides people like Michael Phelps, Mother Theresa, and Beyonce, there are some darn talented people around you! Including you. I was reminded of that at my friends’ a cappella concert on Friday night.
It’s incredible how God shows so much love through people. It’s truly life-changing to have friends and family who seek to love as Christ loves.
It’s incredible how much work I have to do over Thanksgiving. I’m just complaining for the sake of it, which is not model behavior, but… I have two exams and two essays due next week. It’s always a good time to be thankful for a great education, but this is REALLY a good time for that, eh?
It’s incredible that it’s still pretty warm outside in late November. Not that I’m complaining!
It’s incredible that Justin Bieber made it onto my Spotify playlist. It’s his song “Sorry“. I’m sorry I like it. UGH.
The power of patience and prayer is incredible. Because guess what this girl got this weekend!!! Let’s just say I might not need another gynecology appointment. More on this later.
Find something to smile about at every hour of the day. When in doubt, nap it out.
So tell me:
Something incredible in your life right now.
Thanksgiving plans for my fellow Americans? I’m going back to New York to see the much-missed fam and COOK!
I love love love this 🙂 Recognizing the wonderful people we have in our lives is the perfect thing to do during Thanksgiving (and really, ALL the time!) 🙂 It sounds like things are going well, even if you have a lot going on!!
Thank you, Liz! I hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving with your loved ones ♥︎
ugh I’ve caught bieber fever and CANT STOP LISTENING and my now 21 year old self is a little horrified. haha!
psst what’s your Spotify username?!
I think it’s just “Alison Yeung”, but I could be wrong! #clueless
I usually sign in with my Facebook!
I love this post! I’m all for some extra positivity. It’s incredible to be at an amazing school. I’m learning so much and being challenged daily, and meeting so many interesting, loving, intelligent, supportive people. It’s unbelievable how much happier and more comfortable I am than last year. I’m so glad to be here (even though finals start a week after Thanksgiving break and I’m a little bit freaked out about that). 🙂
Being challenged daily is so important (sometimes exhausting, but important!). I am so glad that you have found your happy place in college. What a blessing!
I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU. I am so grateful for our friendship. So freaking grateful for your presence in my life, Alison.
I am so grateful for your kind and gentle spirit, Julia! You have no idea how much our friendship means to me ♥︎
So much love for this post! It’s pretty incredible how many amazing things we can find in our lives if we just take a minute to stop and appreciate them. I don’t know what I’d do without all the little things like warm coffee, fuzzy socks, texts from family, [chocolate], Christmas music, blogging friends, and time outside in the fresh air. Sorry to hear that you’ve got a tonne of work to do over the holidays — don’t profs know we’ll be busy enjoying food and family time!??!
Fuzzy socks!! And I can be down with a little chocolate in my life too… 😉
I was just thinking about you and wondering how you were doing! I loved this post! Thanks for sharing with us!
What you said about how kind people can be really stuck home with me just now. Our family is going through a rough time right now (it seems like some representative from every family on one side has had some seriousish emergency medical issue in the last month). And everyone is so sweet! People from my dad’s work that don’t even really know him, old friends, distant connections of my aunt’s… It really is incredible!
And by the way, this post is incredible too! ❤
Happy thanksgiving!
~ Kat
Aww that means so much, Kat! Thank you so much for your love!
Count on my prayers for you and your family. So glad to hear that you have people supporting and caring for you!
I think we’ve all changed our mind about JB – borderline obsessed with that song. Not as obsessed as I am about Adele’s new album. But still. Lots of good music happening! I’m owning it, though, because its a good song and why turn that down just because the guy singing it isn’t so…desirable? Haha. Incredible in my life right now – my gym family, being able to buy a new (warm!) winter coat, and that I am blessed to have work off on Thursday! ❤
Right!? What a comeback kid, that Bieber. WAIT Adele’s whole album released?? Must listen to that now.
Hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving with your gym fam and day off!!
That Acapalla snap/video/shebang was amazing. Seriously!!!! Your school is producing pitch perfectos or whatever they are called lol!
Something incredible right now- Some epic news I heard from a special someone this weekend 😀 😉 Although how awkward if someone looked through my messages.
I’m not-so-low-key obsessed with the a cappella groups here.
LOL. Yeah I have like six messages on my phone about that. #mylife
Yeeeeeee!!!! I’m doing a happy dance for you! Patience and preserverence and fuel and rest pays off!!!!!💃🏻👍🏼👍🏼 you continue to inspire and motivate me more than you know
I agree that corn bread stuffing is incredible as is this weather!!!!!
I never ever nap but last week I was just so stressed I decided to give it a go and I woke up feeling like a new woman. This might become a new thing for me;)
And I’m a little ( a lot) ashamed to admit this but the Biebs is killing it lately. I can’t stand him so much but dang he knocks out some good hits!
Love you so much girlie and praying for a smooth week a safe trip home and an amazing thanksgiving with your familia 😘
Thank you so much, Katie!! And I knew you would appreciate the cornbread stuffing 🙂
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, chica!
I’m astounded you were able to fall asleep so quickly & nap for 10 minutes. I can’t nap AT ALL and it sucks!
It took me fifteen minutes just to fall asleep haha. I was dead tired though.
Oh man I love this… Reminding me to count so many blessings. And your attitude about having to work over Thanksgiving is commendable. Those people who show the love of Christ to us. It just blows me away.
Amen! It’s easy to forget that everything we have is a gift that is not to be squandered.
YAY! So excited for you. I hope it stays…
Something incredible right now is that my Grandma got moved to the rehab center just as she was starting to lose heart about her progress in recovery from heart surgery. It was definitely a God thing, and we are so grateful!
Thanksgiving is going to involve pizza (because we are non-traditional like that), and relaxing with possibly a movie marathon? (see above) Hopefully there will also be a puzzle, too, as that is our family’s Thanksgiving tradition. But this has not been a normal November, so I don’t know about that!
And I agree about incredible people…there are so many awesome people out there!
Thank you so much, Abbie! I hope so too.
I’ll be keeping you and your grandma in my prayers! Glad to hear that she got moved to the rehab center.
Oh my goodness, pizza for Thanksgiving sounds like a GREAT idea. Have a good one, Abbie!
I can’t believe I am 30 years old and loving ‘sorry’ by Bieber! But hey, music doesn’t have no age limits! 🙂
Naps, I love them and hate them – I either wake up feeling awesome or insanely groggy, grumpy and not a happy bunny… So I always wonder… Is it worth the risk??!!
It’s true. I just found out that my best friend’s boyfriend likes to listen to One Direction. Music spans age, gender, ethnicity, EVERYTHING.
Yay!!! Congratulations, Alison! I hope this means good things for your health future! ☺️
Plans for Thanksgiving would be the most non-traditional ever: celebrating on Saturday with pizza and a movie! But somewhat a traditional one for our family…we’re just weird like that. 😜
Despite a really tough situation with my grandma having two strokes while in heart surgery and the agony of watching her recovery struggle, there are a lot of incredible things that happened through the situation. Many little victories. But the most incredible thing I’m thankful for is the increased closeness in the relationship with my extended family, relationships I thought were growing cold and drifting apart, brought together again by an albeit rather forced vulnerability , and some terrifying and heartbreaking bonding moments. God is with us even in the darkness.
Thanks so much, Hannah!
You’re the second reader whose family is having pizza for thanksgiving! Maybe the rest of us should catch on to that 😉 Praying for you and yours ♥︎ Vulnerability does amazing things!
Those Fall leaves are so gorgeous!
Something incredible is that I’m adopting a kitty in 3 weeks! I’m so anxious and I can’t wait to meet him!
For thanksgiving we are going to my BF’s sister’s house with her family. We just moved away from home and it’ll be nice to be around “family” 🙂
Ahh that’s so exciting that you’re adopting a kitty! Hope all goes well 🙂 Have an amazing Thanksgiving, Floey!
