I’ve missed you!!!
Whether the feeling is mutual or not, I am sending you all e-hugs right now. It’s only been 5 days since I last blogged, but considering I had been blogging almost daily during my winter break, those 5 days felt like an eternity.
Now that we’ve e-hugged I’ve assaulted you with e-hugs, here are seven things that sum up my first week of second semester!
1) Lots of studying calls for ice cream.
When I realized how much studying will be required for anatomy and organic chemistry this semester, I made sure to decompress my brain with some delicious ice cream this weekend.
Dairy therapy.
2) Snow!
We had our first snowfall of the semester on Saturday, and it was a cute prelude to the snowmageddon that’s supposed to hit the northeast tonight (stay safe and warm, friends!).
My roommate just informed me that a Boston University snow brawl is scheduled for Tuesday. DOWN.
3) Workout buddies make me happy.
I had three different workout buddies last week! Even if we’re not doing the same workout, the presence of another hard-working, sweaty pal definitely pushes me to work harder in the gym. Enough to make my hair look like it belongs in a forest/cage.
4) Morning workouts are quite enjoyable.
Now I see why healthy living bloggers are all about those AM endorphins! It feels great to wake up before the big rush of students and to get moving before sitting in class all day.
I will try to get up for morning workouts as often as my body and brain allow!
5) Sandwiches are my go-to.
There is an art to making a good sandwich, and although I appreciate every person who makes me a sandwich, there are certainly some people who know how to make better sandwiches. It’s all in the distribution of the ingredients.
Sandwich on the far right: You can see the empty bread space where there is no meat/veggies.
Sandwich in the middle: Perfectly distributed ingredients and cut diagonally.
Ya feel? (So petty, I know.)
Roast beef with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard is my favorite combination, but tuna salad makes an occasional appearance on Fridays!
6) I ♥ carbs.
My friend jokes around and says that I never eat any carbs, but that is a million miles from the truth. For instance, on Saturday I had tour guide training all day, during which they served us muffins, bagels, and pizza. I had all three, thankyouverymuch.

7) National Peanut Butter Day was celebrated ALL weekend.
Scratch that. National peanut butter day is celebrated all year round for me.
Laughing because Albert decided to get a whole bowl full of peanut butter. Only four times more than we needed.
*sigh* What a great holiday.
OH, BONUS TIDBIT: I’m going on the Blend 2015 Retreat! If you’re unfamiliar with what that is, Blend is a three day blogger/reader retreat (in Boulder, Colorado this year!) where you get to hang out, eat, move, and groove with fellow blog friends (“blends”). This will be my first time attending Blend, and I am STOKED.
Come so I can meet all of you!!!
So tell me:
Are you going to be hit by snow?
Thoughts on the art of the sandwich?
Do you prefer morning workouts?
Did you celebrate National Peanut Butter Day?
Are you going to Blend!?
Yay that you are coming to Blend! Can’t wait to meet you in person 🙂
Hooray! Ditto! 🙂
Morning workouts are the BEST way to start the day. Immediately followed by breakfast, of course. Hah. And oh sandwiches, how I love thee. I probably eat at least one a day, to be honest. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack… any time is good for me. And yes, I had a PB&J on National Peanut Butter day. I’m pretty sure every day could be “NPBD” around my house.
I would LOVE to go to Blend, but I’m not sure if I will be able to this year or not. I have always wanted to though! It would be so great to meet you and all my other favorite bloggers who will be there!
Mmm PB&J is a classic (sandwich!) that will never get old.
Boo 😦 I hope you get to go to Blend one year!
All of your food looks SO delicious!! I ran out of PB and forgot to buy more…there are some sad, sad bananas on my counter right now. The ice cream tho…did you go out for it, or are you amazing and do you have a soft serve machine at home?
Happy Monday!

You can make banana bread with your bananas! (And then send some to me 😉 )
I ate the ice cream in my college dining hall!
So true! Good sandwiches are all about the ingredient distribution 😉 My sister was in Boston this past week and kept sending me snowing selfies!
Oh cool! Hope she doesn’t bring the snow back with her…unless that’s what you want 🙂
The feeling is most definitely mutual 😃
And you are right on with your sandwich observations! For some reason sandwiches cut in half is a must for me can’t just bite into a whole uncut wich🙅
And we are bracing for the blizzard here too.🙈🙈🙈 is it too late to get a one way ticket to florida?!😉💃💃💃💃
I really wish I were going to blend. Plus meeting you would be aaaamazing and we would be coming from the same area….hmmm going to look into it now…and my bank account as well! Lol
Have a great one and stay warm and safe😘💕
Even if you can’t come to Blend, we should still meet up in the city in the summer!
Sounds like a plan!!!!!👍😊
I think it’s safe to say that I did -not- celebrate National Peanut Butter day 😛
And… Oh.Em.GEE! You’re going to Blend! I’ll definitely be giving you the biggest bear hug when I see you there 😀 It was such a bummer that you couldn’t make it last year, but… WOOHOO for this year 😀 It’s going to be amazing.
AHH I’m so happy!!! Literally my dream come true to meet so many blends 🙂
I am not jealous. I am not jealous. I am not jealous.
Okay I’m jealous. Of blend, of the ice cream of everything, of America. Adopt me please. Carb queen.
I’ll adopt you along with Jo. On the condition that you make me cake batter oatmeal and anzac biscuit pancakes every morning.
Squeeeeeee you’re going to BLEND 😀 !! If anything..I can’t wait for that recapp after you’ve met them fabulous peeps.
My biggest grouse with any sandwich, or pita for that matter: skimpy fillings. I love more filling to bread ratio..unless we’re talking doughy ciabattas or naan – they’re perfection under a simple smear of butter even! Oh and for the record; I’m all for e-hugs 😉 .
More filling all the way! Ooo and now I want naan.
