Hi!
I don’t know about the rest of the globe, but Boston was soggy sadness yesterday. The gloom, wind, and rain was so nasty that I had to change my pants three times yesterday due to them getting soaked every time I went outside.
But there are many brighter things to think about besides the weather! Like today being the last day of classes, which means I’m a week out from being done with this semester. Crazypants.
Also, my roommate and I decorated our door for the holidays. We went on the extremely secular side with a Santa Claus “Tinder” profile. I’ve never been on it, but apparently Tinder is some sort of speed-dating-type app. We didn’t win best-decorated door, but props to my roommate for thinking outside of the box with this idea.
The little bio for Santa says, “Don’t just swipe right [what you do when you don’t like someone on Tinder]. I’ll put you on my naughty list. 😉 “
We’re terrible.
I haven’t shown you all what I’ve been noshing since Thanksgiving! Something that I’ve really come to embrace recently is my love for dairy. My friend Sylvia was telling me about how dairy is addicting because of the lactose, and I told her I was okay with that. Cheese, yogurt, ice cream, milk— if you don’t want it, I’m your girl.
Linking up with Jenn!

That last dessert just called to me. Not to mention some strawberry ice cream I ate straight out of the pint since my roommate bought a few for $0.25 each.
I used to freak out if I ate too much cheese or drank too much milk because the fat scared the crap out of me. ONE SLICE OF CHEESE PER SANDWICH was my rule. ONE CUP OF MILK. Like my life depended on it.
But last night I noticed that the person who made my sandwich put two slices of cheese on it. I contemplated taking a slice off, but a) the two slices were already melted together, and b) I just didn’t care. The more cheese, the merrier, am I right? As for yogurt, cottage cheese, and milk, it seems pretty obvious that I don’t skimp on those either.
I am thankful that I’m not lactose-intolerant, and I’m pretty sure veganism isn’t in my near future, but cheers to milk mustaches and not being able to sing well because of too much lactose!
^^^That sentence did not make any sense.
Have a wonderful Wednesday, compadres! (shoutout to Renee)
So tell me:
Do you love dairy?
What is your favorite form of dairy?
What is the best meal you’ve eaten recently?
When I first tried dairy is NASTY. that’s because I came from China and thought it tasty like creamy grossness. But it grew on me and now i love it! Sort of a pro and con: I like it and I’m glad I tried it, but I’m also paleo and I can’t have cheese. But I’m letting myself go for it just for this month. Because why not, it’s holidays?!
Was cheese also an accuired taste for you?
I can totally see how dairy would have been pretty gross if you had never tried it before, but that’s awesome that you’re allowing yourself to enjoy it this month! 🙂
Hmm I think I’ve always like cheese. I’ve acquired a taste for “fancier” cheeses though!
I Love dairy sooo much! Chocolate milk, greek yogurt, and ice cream/fro yo are my favs😍
Just gotta say it’s really inspiring and refreshing and encouraging to see how you’re outlook has evolved!! 👍👊 you go girl
Love your dorm door too😂 so clever!
Have a great day and remember…got milk?!😉😘
I miss those got milk? ads! I hope you have a lovely day too, Katie! ♥
I haven’t had pancakes in FOREVER and that apple pancake looks just delicious. I wish I hadn’t just eaten lunch or else I would’ve whipped up a batch for myself. Truthfully.
Pancakes are always a good idea. 🙂
Dairy and me are bestest friends! I love quark (thick Greek yogurt) with fruit, or sweetener and cocoa power, cinnamon, vanilla, or other flavourings (gingerbread now in the Christmas season is awesome too). I also like cheeeeese! I don’t have it often though. But in my omelettes, for sure.
Yum! I loveeee having Greek yogurt with some sort of crumbled muffin or bread on top with nut butter.
Eggs + cheese are a match made in heaven 😉
I can’t believe our first semester of college is almost done! We got s huge storm yesterday too in CT, it didn’t not stop poring! My favorite dairy is yogurt. Good luck on your finals!
This semester went by ridiculously quickly! Thanks, good luck to you too!!
Your eats always look so good ♡
I love dairy as well – particularly yoghurt and ice cream. I probably go through 1.5-2L of yoghurt a week. So good…
Amen. When I’m at home I go through one to two 32 oz. containers of Greek yogurt by myself each week!
Dairy queens unite! I definitely could never give up my moo juice. My favorites are probably feta cheese, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, and kefir. Oh, and ice cream. That goes without saying though, right? 😉
“Moo juice.” <— love that. Of course ice cream is a given!
I can’t even handle how good your food always looks — you eat better than I do! And I’m at home 😛
I do love dairy, but dairy doesn’t always love me back. Or… I guess my stomach doesn’t always share my love. Either way, I can handle Greek yogurt, but too much of it and my stomach gets all wonky and my skin starts to break out like whoa. Sucks because ooooh.mi.gosh that stuff is GOOD.
But don’t forget your delicious muffins and smoothies that you have at home! Totally making so many of your recipes when I get back.
Yes, I must admit that my stomach doesn’t always agree with dairy, but I make the sacrifice sometimes 😉
So we are starting a group.
AWED. (Asians Who Eat Dairy). I swear we are in the minority here! I’ve been a huge cheese eater, but thanks to shipment from Chobani, I’ve been eating a cup of yogurt once a day too. Hello cows.
Consider me in on AWED. Cow as a mascot?
We’re basically mooing with all this dairy, Arman.
