Another weekend, another Monday! I’m adding the exclamation point as a means of forcing myself to sound cheerful!
Just kidding, it’s not really forced. This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I hunkered down and caught up on studying and blogging for most of my weekend. And since I only blogged twice last week, I want to catch up with y’all on life happenings around here!
Here’s life as of right now— in the style of notes:
On peanut butter:
- What do you do when you’re almost done with a large Costco-sized peanut butter jar?
- Answer: You fill it with oatmeal, scrape it clean, and buy an even bigger jar of peanut butter from Whole Foods.
The rate at which I go through peanut butter— it’s a talent really.
- When eating in the dining hall with friends, one of two questions will come up:
- “Where’s your peanut butter?”
- “Peanut butter and banana as usual?”
You rep that peanut butter waffle, bro.
On missing home:
- What is it going to be like when I get to make overnight oats and cookie dough cereal and oatmeal smoothies again back home?
- Answer: a beautiful reunion.
- Greek yogurt + dried figs = taste of home. My weird Alison taste of home.
Where are my eyes?
- Seeing all my friends’ photos from homecoming back at my high school this weekend ➔ feelin’ emotional
- It will feel so weird going back home. SO WEIRD.
On life:
- Sleeping in without an alarm is wonderful on so many levels.
- Boston decided to grace us with warm, beautiful weather last week.
- This is kind of torturous because you never know when the frigid weather will suddenly hit.
- I’ve been told that my spirit animal is a jackrabbit.
- What do you think that means?
- Apparently, their ears are big like those of donkeys.
- But they’re also powerful and fast, and they eat plenty of vegetables.
- Ya win some, ya lose some.
- What do you think that means?
- Pump-up song of the moment: “Fireball” by Pitbull
- I may or may not pretend to do Zumba to that song in my room by myself.
- CrossFit Games athlete/Asian invasion/Jesus lover JAMIE HAGIYA follows me on Instagram now.
- *hyperventilate*
- Is this real life?
That comment at the bottom though. ♥
And that wraps up this edition of notes on college! I know I’ve done this kind of post a couple times already, but I still want to know if you guys like these. Is it too random and/or confusing? Or do you guys enjoy the random notes style? Let me know!
Have a fantastic day, everyone!
So tell me:
What food do you go through in the blink of an eye?
Do you have a spirit animal?
(I didn’t know what a spirit animal was until 3 days ago.)
What is your current pump-up song?
Random college notes..I like it, always have! Oh I salute the peanut butter love; you are utterly blessed to have access to monster jars 😀 . The food I fly through changes on a regular basis – usual suspects are dark chocolate, dates, peanut butter (of course) and bananas. Oh and oatmeal… I should stop now 😉 .
Oatmeal is another one that I go through quickly! Indeed, I am blessed to be able to enjoy so much peanut butter 🙂
I love these posts Bc a. I take notes the exacty same way so it’s easy to read! And b. I love your random thoughts ☺️👍👍
My spirit animal?! Lol I’m not really sure I’ve ever thought about that but I’d say panda…just because I love pandas!😜(I thought that out thoroughly…not🙈)
And I love that song!!!!!!! 💃💃💃💃💃
Have a great week Alison!!!
The first thing that came to my mind when I thought about what my spirit animal might be was a panda too! Just because they’re my favorite animal. Man, we really are twins separated at birth! 😉
Hope you have a great week too, Katie!
You seem like such a fun and bubbly person. Have you always been like that? I really envy how sociable you are .. Maybe you can do a post on how to be a more fun person.
Aw thank you, Angela! ♥
I’m actually naturally introverted, but that’s the beauty of blogging. I have a bunch of things to say in my brain, so I spill it all out here. In real life, I talk love talking to people too, but other times I keep to myself. I cherish alone time, but I also love interacting with people 🙂
Peanut butter is something I go through quickly too! And I still have to try avocado toast. It sounds delish!
YES you must try avocado toast!
My favorite is putting a banana smoothie in an almost-empty nut butter jar. YUM!
Oooo how I miss smoothies!
A spirit animal? Kangaroo sausage?
I love how you are now the pb girl at college- please tell me your cafeteria have those little pb packets (I stole so many of them!)
My dining hall has huge bowls o’ peanut butter, both regular and natural! I would totally steal peanut butter packets if they had them though.
That is way too cool that she did a few shout outs to you — not just one! I have had comments from Christmas Abbott, and likes from Sam Bringgs, Emily Bridgers, and Dain Sidell. I think it is so cool when they take the time to check out their fans. Makes me think they are more normal than we make them out to be. And by the way, kudos to getting through all that PB. I’m impressed!
Oh my gosh that’s awesome!! It really is cool when they interact with and encourage their fellow CrossFitters/athletes.
Haha thanks, I do my best 😉
