WIAW: Short and Sweet

Morning!

This post is up quite a bit later than usual because I wasn’t feeling too great last night, so I hit the hay rather than writing this post. Man, was it worth it because I cannot remember the last time I slept that long! I feel like a spring chicken!

I’ve got a ton of photos for you all of the food that has been makin’ me smile recently. Happy WIAW!

  1. Mmmmm delicious food overload!!!!
I had some Chinese (American Chinese 😉) chicken and broccoli! That’s about as ethnic as I got this week lol
Glad your feeling better and hope you have a great time today! 🙂

  2. Tell me, how utterly fabulous are seafood scrambles!? Having never had crab itself – but basing my assumptions on my love for hake egg scrambles… delicious.

  3. Oh my goshhhh so much amazingness. Are you going to be eating in the dorms? I’m excited to see how your options are! I don’t know if I’d like those crab eggs.. I’m not a huge fan of crab! I don’t eat a ton of ethnic food. I don’t know why, I like it! Although I’ve never had Chinese takeout.. or Korean.. okay basically all I’ve had is Mexican. lol 😉

  4. Haha, you’re a classic pb and oats girl! Although when I used to do that my ratio of pb to oats is more like 2:1 😛

  5. Seriously drooling right now. I have a new FRIEND and he has been introducing me to (and cooking) MIddle Eastern dishes for me. I like it. We’re both obsessed with food and recently tried a Moroccan place, a Greek place and have a bunch more restaurants on the list.

  6. Alison, that leftover waffle looks amazing. If we ever do meet, I am requesting one of these waffles! I have been drooling over them for months! & a crab egg scramble? How have I never thought of this before?! Sounds delicious. Gyros are one of my favorite foods and I just found out that my college has a greek place on the meal plan… YAY! How is sunflower seed butter? I see it all the time, but I cannot get myself to buy a jar and try it! You seem to have good taxte buds, so I thought I would ask you about it. 🙂

    • Confession: that waffle was from a box! It’s from a long time and we had it in the freezer, so it actually didn’t taste too great. But I will make you a better, fresh waffle!
Sunflower seed butter from TJs and naturallynutty.com (the only ones I’ve tried so far) are AMAZING. A little different from peanut butter, but super delicious.

  7. Your mum needs to make me one of those scrambles….egg and crab is an epic combination and a sodium hit of wonder. BOOM.

Alison you can’t just ask people what the last ethnic food they ate was. That’s so racist. I ate oatmeal. Is that Scottish?
