Happy Fourth of July!
Eat your corn on the cob!
I hope all my fellow Americans have a lovely, festive Independence Day today! My town had a less-than-ideal start to our festivities when our fireworks celebration got rained out big time.
Instead of watching fireworks, I stayed under the awning of my house to watch the nasty (but super cool) thunderstorm. I don’t know about you all, but I absolutely love thunderstorms! Did you know I used to want to be a meteorologist? Wait, what if I was on the Today Show?! Non-mid-life crisis happening right now??
Anyway…if you’re not enjoying grilled foods, ice cream, and fireworks, you can check out this week’s fascinating Friday links!

I LOVE thunderstorms, too! And secretly love (even more) when my days off are stormy…gives me an excuse to stay inside and read blogs, watch Netflix, or even bake! No crazy plans for me…I’m going to CrossFit at 9, and then I work 2-8 (those darn hospitals don’t close!) and then hopefully making it to a get-together some CF friends are putting on to watch fireworks!
Ahh yes storms allow me to do all those cozy, comforting things too 🙂
Oh my, sounds like a busy day! Hope you have a great time tonight!!
I think you should make a guest appearance in my next video. You in?! Happy 4th!!!
I love love thunderstorms! I get so excited:) and from ages 10-about 14 I wanted to be a meteorologist too!

Thanks so much for posting that Alldays commercial! I love it! And those 11 hero-dads 🙂
We Germans are all about the world cup right now. Germany just won the match against France, yeeeaah! On Tuesday we’re going to play against Brazil. It’s going to be tough one, very exciting! What did you do today on the 4th? Are your 4th of July celebrations going the whole weekend??
Oh man, we Americans are all about the World Cup too! Congrats, Germany!!
I went to my friend’s graduation party today, which was an all day cookout/celebration. I might celebrate a little more with my brother tomorrow with some burgers or something!
