Fascinating Friday Links #24

Do I even need to say that we have a three hour delay today?

THERE’S NO MORE ROOM FOR THIS SNOW. Shoveling was a *bleep* yesterday because the hill of snow beside our driveway grew super high, so every shovelful of snow required a legit squat clean + shot-put throw. Olympic shoveling should be a thing! Use a small shovel for cardio (since you go back for more snow more quickly) and use a big shovel for strength. Let me know if we should petition for this in the 2018 winter games.

Speaking of which, who else watched all the drama in the men’s figure skating competition last night?! First Yevgeny withdraws, then Jeremy Abbott takes a major fall…My jaw was dropping low to the flo’.

Anyway, it’s Friday, it’s Valentine’s Day, and it’s the start of my winter break! Can it really be called break with all these snow days though? Not complaining.

Here are some Fascinating Friday Links for your fancy!

Have a great weekend, friends!

So tell me:

What are you doing this Valentine’s Day? I will be spending my evening babysitting. Single lady status at best.

Do you need some snow? ‘Cause I’ll send some to you.

Which links did you enjoy?

  1. I love these posts!! It’s fun to see what similarities we have in what we read, and also branch out from what I normally read! I’ve learned a lot of new info and found great new blogs. 🙂
Gah thank you for featuring me! I am so honored, I smiled like a goof to myself when I saw my post up there. Really, thank you!!
I will be spending Valentine’s Day in the car, on a road trip. I’m a pro at single Valentine’s Days. 😉 Have a great day, and enjoy your time off!!

  2. It’s so strange that here in the great white north, we’ve hardly had any snow this winter. At least in my area. You should come visit me in Alberta. We can hold hands, sing and frolick through the mountain meadows.

My Valentines Day is very annoying right now – I’m currently stuck at work. Work = commenting on blogs. Hahahahaha. But!! Later this evening I’m going to yoga, then catching up on Vanderpump Rules. So at least there’s that.

I just ate a heart shaped donut.

    • Can I PLEASE come visit you?? Frolicking through the mountain meadows sounds glorious right about now.
I actually don’t have school today…they called this morning and cancelled the whole day. They probably just gave up on the whole school idea.
So now I’m making cinnamon rolls. Not a healthy version or anything. Just because it’s Valentine’s Day and my excuse is that my mom loves cinnamon rolls.
Yoga sounds like a great idea! I think I’ll do that too.

  3. No snow for me thanks! I’m good in that department!!😉🙈
Valentines plans include babysitting my cousins while my aunt and uncle enjoy a nice night out…single as a Pringle🙋🙆 lol
And I’m going to refrain from relishing all the links bc u really enjoyed them all this week so my top favorites were putting down the phone, lettig go of calories, eating more FAT!, and the honey pb banana bread!
Have a great day and happy valentines day!💗

    • I keep it PG and Catholic…ya know.
Well basically the world’s best male skater, Yevgeny Plushenko from Russia, withdrew from the competition due to back injuries (he’s old for the sport— 31). But he helped Russia win gold for the team competition earlier this week, so he still ended his career with a bang.
And the American Jeremy Abbott had a terrible wipeout on one of his big jumps at the beginning of this program. It looked like he wasn’t gonna get up, but he gritted through and finished it like a champ.

  4. Yeah send me some snow! So that’s how you burpee!..it looks fun. I might try it 😉
All those recovery stories were inspiringly brilliant..the ladies who wrote them ❤
My breath caught when I read "The difference between woman who are hot and woman who are beautiful". I realized how grateful I am for my family's beliefs that holds women in such a high, treasured state. In this day and age it's often looked at as old-fashioned..you know dressing respectfully in public to protect our beauty and so forth. Sorry for my little ramble..I was just very moved by that article

  5. I just wanted to let you know that I nominated you for the Liebster Blog Award, if you want to answer the questions and keep the award going around 🙂 If not, though, that’s fine as well! I hope you had a fabulous Valentine’s Day!
