Hello and Happy Monday!
I hope everyone had a fine weekend with some fun festivities, especially if you were watching the Super Bowl! I went solo for my Super Bowl Sunday experience, but it was fun because I talked to you guys through a camera (see vlog below) 😉
Before we get to the too-close-to-my-own-face footage, I have some other marvelous scenes from the weekend to share with you all!
As always, the fabulous Katie is hosting this marvelous link up!
College Eating Business Calculus party. We take our food as seriously as our derivatives. (Read: more seriously)
That would be maple syrup in a red solo cup. Classy.
Friday night out at a cute French café with my girls Je’lyn, Veronica, and Jeannine. I got an apple turnover that was just okay.
Dance, homework, Sunday school teaching, and Mass happened per usual as well.
And then there was this vlog. I happened to be alone for Super Bowl Sunday, which was fine since I’m not that into the game anyway (Seahawks won, right?). I just got kinda lonely, so I decided to film myself cooking and doing other things that you might not care about. But this is real life, everyone. No frills. 😀
If you watched that entire video without cringing, we are officially best friends. Also, excuse the alfalfa sticking up from my head at the end.
Just to add: Bruno Mars rocked that halftime show! I have no idea what the Red Hot Chili Peppers were doing though. I must say, Beyonce’s performance last year is still hard to beat….
I hope you all have a marvelous Monday and a wonderful week!
So tell me:
What did you do for Super Bowl Sunday? Were you pleased with the outcome? Half time show?
What did you do this weekend?
Thoughts on the vlog?
Looks like you had such an enjoyable week! Waffles in class? I’ll choose your school over mine any day!
We’re a crazy class, but it’s definitely a blast!
Hahhahaa that was awesome! Girl you are so cute 😀 . I love the way you say “ye-e-ss” when you around the cornbread! You lucky you only had one alfalafa sticking up from your head..I have hair identical to yours and I swear it directly resembles my changing emotions, by jumping all over the show :p . I haven’t had brussel sprouts in forever..I used to steam them over boiling water, but I think I need to try your method since I love love coconut oil 🙂
Ahaha Thanks, Ms. J! Yes, my baby hairs are cuh-razy! And you should definitely try out the coconut oil brussels sprouts. Then tell me how much you love ’em 😉
I talk to myself so it feels like I have friends too haha. Glad you enjoyed your own personal SuperBowl party, you really didn’t miss anything lol.
My dad told me the same thing! It is a good thing that I’m not a football fan. 😉
Gah! You’re TOO cute! And officially my new hero — I’ve been wanting to do a vlog forever now, but I’m still a little camera shy when it comes to those kinds of things. Definitely going to have to get around to it soon, though, because this was tonnes of fun to watch.
I didn’t really watch the game, but my dad had it on in the background so I caught a little bit of it. I was cheering for the Seahawks, but for ridiculous reasons — because Seattle is the home of Starbucks 😆
I’m honestly so glad you enjoyed the vlog, Amanda! I mean, I’m still camera shy at times too, but I’ve learned to not care so much anymore. This is me, people! 😉 I would absolutely loveee if you did one!
That’s actually a great reason to root for Seattle! I had never heard of either of the teams before yesterday actually.
Haha aw I liked the blog! And oh my god that cafe is so cuuuuuuute!
Thanks, Jess! 🙂
Ahhh I love you!!!!! No cringing!! So I think it’s safe to say we are bffs😉 seriously though I loved this!! Come to Long Island so we can be neighbors?! I wish!
So I basically just watched for the half time show and the commercials. I was trying to see the appeal of big burly men crashing into eachother ever 10 seconds! I would be squished let me tell ya! But I totally agree Bruno Mars rocked it and what the heck were the red hot chili peppers doing there?! So random! Not a fan to say the least!
Anyways, this vlog totally made me smile 🙂 hope you have a great Monday!
Ps save me some cornbread! It’s literally my favorite thing ever as well! Have you ever had spoon bread? Basically it’s like a southern corn bread pudding! I had a sweet version of it when I was in VA on vacation with maple syrup and it was amazing. I don’t know why I’m telling you this, I just figured you would appreciate since your a corn bread person as well😉
Ahh I’m glad you loved it! Girl, we should totally get together and have some spoon bread/cornbread one day. 😉
I 100% agree about the big burly men crashing into each other— not my style.
If I took my derivatives as seriously as I take my food I might have passed calculus….probably not lol
LOL! It’s hard to focus on math when there are waffles in the room.
I went to little shindig for the Superbowl, but none of us really watched it. Love the vlog – so adorable! 🙂
Okay I watched the whole video. Can we be best friends? 🙂 I’ve been wanting to do a vlog! They seem like fun!
Of course! 🙂 And you should totally do a vlog!
I really liked the Bruno Mars part of the halftime show-but the Red Hot Chili Peppers part kind of killed it-it was just such a weird contrast!
I agree! It was all retro-Michael Jackson-esque, and then shirtless RHCP came on with their head banging. It was pretty weird.
Could your vlog be any cuter?? Oh, wait, does that mean we’re friends now?! I’d be way too shy for a vlog but really enjoy seeing others do them.
Prior to blogging I’d never even heard of the Super Bowl. But then again I can always pull the ‘I’m German’ card when it comes to anything related to football. Not like I had any clue about soccer, either, …
Haha we’re totally friends now! 🙂 I’m definitely not a football fan whatsoever, so I just pretend to watch it when the Super Bowl comes along.
Can I have that scarf? Thanks! Love you/mean it.
I didn’t do anything for super bowl sunday – I was traveling back from the mountains, so I sang 90s songs in my car the whole way home. It was nice. Hahahahaha
I’ll lend you the scarf if you lend me some of your Lulu gear. 😀
Well a trip to the mountain sounds a hundred times more exciting than the super bowl anyway! As does singing 90s songs in the car. I was just singing “Just the Way You Are” by Bruno Mars when he was performing it. I even tried riffing and all.
I just love your personality! It’s so vibrant! You’re also gorgeous. 🙂
I as well take my food very seriously. I mean.. it’s amazing. I wouldn’t mind munching a waffle out of a cup. I love waffles.
I LOVED Bruno Mars half time show performance. He’s an amazing live performer. It gave me chills. 🙂
Aw stopppp. ♥ Thanks, Natalie!
I agree— Bruno Mars killed it (in a good way) last night! “Just the Way You Are” nearly put me to tears.
Just speakin’ the truth. 🙂
I am with ya! I was tearing up on the couch, and my mom looks over at me with the “what is wrong with you? It’s a SONG.” look on her face. She just doesn’t understand.. Haha.
So I watched your vlog and must say….your voice sounds so much different than what I expected it to haha! that stupid shaped brussels sprout
Now I’m curious— what did you think my voice sounded like?? Higher? Lower? Less 12-year-old-ish? 😉 I won’t be offended, whatever you say.
No, ridiculously mature and humorous! (witty!)
Woohoo! I’ll take it. 🙂
