I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are recharged for the week ahead! I’m happy to report that I got to catch up on some sleep this weekend, so let’s hope that my sleep continues to go swimmingly!
This week, I’m formatting my MIMM post as more of a bunch of random rants. I’m feeling like just going with the flow in my stream of consciousness.😉

My close friend, Jeannine, had her birthday celebration on Friday evening at a cute local restaurant that’s actually owned by our math teacher’s family. The only bad thing was that the weather was nasty and gross, and this restaurant is located on the darkest, curviest parkway ever. I was only slightly freaking out driving my friends there. I didn’t even care if I was going 5-10 MPH under the speed limit. Also, I had to hold my high beam on because I didn’t know you had to push the lever forward to make it stay. Oh well. It made turning it off for oncoming traffic a little more convenient. Thankfully, we made it there and back safe and sound.😀
Back to Jeannine and her birthday festivities.
We had a super fun time as we usually do in each other’s company. The food was also delicious! I ordered the salmon burger with an upgrade side of sweet potato fries. That’s right. It was worth it.
This was really good. I saved half of it for lunch the next day since my stomach was occupied by too many sweet potato fries. I also had a bite of my friend’s cheesecake for dessert, and it was AMAZING.

Other things that happened this weekend include a small dance outreach performance with company at a nursing home. Despite our dance space being a tiny, carpeted parlor space with chandeliers nearly brushing the tops of our heads, it went well! The folks there seemed to really appreciate the performance, and we definitely loved sharing our talents with them.
I also found out that I can do at least ten chest to deck push ups in a row! Is chest to deck a Crossfit term? Well, in laymen’s terms, chest to floor. You can see them demonstrated in this video.
Lastly, I don’t understand my brother. He got maybe 16 hours of sleep on Friday night to Saturday afternoon, and then he slept yesterday from 11 AM – 6:30 PM. He says he’s attempting a “sleep reset.” He is now staying up for 24 hours so that he can be really tired tonight and go to sleep at a normal time again. Honestly, this isn’t unusual for Ben, but I still find his sleep patterns incredibly strange…What a guy.
And that’s really all I’ve got for now! I know this may not have been my most exciting MIMM— yesterday’s Spill It Sunday post about my travel adventures as a little kid is probably a lot more entertaining. I can’t believe I posted all those pictures for the world to see. Eh, guatever.
