Introduction

Hello there!

A blog has been born! And I’m pretty psyched about it. I’m not sure who, if anyone, will read it, but I’m excited to see where this blog will take me.

My name is Alison.

me1

I’m a high school senior who has a passion for faith, family, food, and exercise (and nut butter). Just a side note: some (alright, basically all) people think I look like a 12-year-old. I forgive you if you do too. It’s the usual at this point in my life. I mean, a lady at Costco a couple months ago didn’t let me sample some sort of fruity vitamin water because my mom wasn’t with me at the moment. But I had just DRIVEN us there and I was even holding the car keys.

I digress.

In many aspects of my life, I have trouble finding balance, a happy medium. This is true for both my spiritual and physical life. But God has blessed me with the most supportive, patient people, especially my mom, dad, and brother. I don’t know how they’ve dealt with me these past 17 years. 😉 I love them so much. And if I’m lucky, I can get them to agree to be mentioned/pictured on here every once in a while! (We’ll see how that plays out). I’ve got incredible friends too, and I’m really wondering what they’ll think of this. They probably won’t be surprised. My Instagram (@alisonmty) is already FLOODED with food pictures. Anyway, I hope to use this blog as just another part of my constant search for balance, which might not end ’til the day I die. Hey, it’s the journey, not the destination, right?

I’ve been obsessed (….like, actually) with food/fitness/health blogs for the past year, and it has taken me that long to start my own. I’ve commented on blogger’s photos as if they were my buddies ’cause I think I’m cool. I do a lot of embarrassing things because I think I’m cool, and you might see that a lot on here. Just a warning. What you’ll hopefully see more of though is some (not all) of my daily meals and munches, some of my exercise, and other reflections of LIFE. Deep, I know.

Well, here’s to this new blog, Daily Moves and Grooves! Hope you come along with me on this adventure (there’s food involved 🙂  )!
